Changing the wheel - by Peter Thomson look s amazing. This is going to be the best show on the fringe this year I reckon.

The Revenant looks pretty damn good as well, especially as it was written for the Actor (peter Trant) by the author Patrick McCabe - how awesome is that gonna be.

Weird or what

Looking across from my desk I see a stock pile of silly string. I hope this is for a show and not just for squirting my new leg cast - which I go to the fracture clinic this afternoon to receive.

Also I hear screams and cries of agony wafting from the stage - must be actors being emotional or something. I'll just keep my head down and surf ebay today I think.

I broke my leg on Sunday.

But the show must go on as they say. I will need to come up with an idea of how to erect lights and speakers from a wheelchair. I think Gaffa tape may well play a part in the solution. Hmmm

Going to Edinburgh in 2 weeks to build the venue - lol

Set up the lighting rig for the studio and believe it or not it all works!! Now I've only to label and strip the rig ready for when we move to Edinburgh.

Rack Screws

Why are rack screws different sizes - I have just had a fight with an M6 and I cut my finger and I am not happy.

I might just gaffer the amps into the flightcases and blame the truck driver when they fall out.

I think I will be on studio spares website in a few minutes as "I canney take it anymore captain, the dilithium rack screws are interfering with the antimatter amplifiers. We will have to eject the compressors!"

The postie brought lots of things today. Its like my birthday in the workshop with all the parcels sitting there all piled up. Unfortunately its mainly plugs, sockets and mic cable so I'm not excited.

LIghting desk for the Studio Theatre

We have now purchased a Fat Frog lighting desk for the Studio Theatre. I like the fat frog - you can do soooo much with it. Many people think the desk is limited - mainly coz they haven't really delved into it.

I can make the frog do as much as a Strand 520i - actually I challenge anyone to come up with a scenario that the 520 can do which the frog can't.

PS - The Main Theatre also has a Fat Frog - you can tell I like them.

Wow. I'll say it again Wow. We have such a good line up this year I'm exceedingly excited!

We have some of the best Children's Theatre and some of the very best theatre work around. We have 3 big name musicals.

Its gonna be fun, exhausting and overall great.
